Constructionline

Constructionline is a Government run scheme. Each month thousands of contractors and consultants apply for work with public and private sector organisations. In order to be awarded the relevant contract, the companies and individuals applying must meet health and safety standards.

The Constructionline scheme is available for use by any public and private sector Organisation as an aid when short listing contractors, suppliers and consultants who apply to work for them. It provides information and assurances about the health and safety systems and competence of the organisations who have been Constructionline assessed or accredited.

Gas Safe Register

Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey, appointed by the relevant Health and Safety Authority for each area. By law all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register.

Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britain and Isle of Man on 1 April 2009 and Northern Ireland and Guernsey on 1 April 2010.

The main focus of the Register is on improving and maintaining gas safety to the highest standards. We make sure all 123,000 gas engineers on the Register are qualified to work with gas.

Gas Safe Register is run by Capita Gas Registration and Ancillary Services Limited, a division of Capita Plc.

New QAS LOGO

ISO 9001 Registered Firm

The British Assessment Bureau. ISO 9001 is for all organisations, large or small, and covers all sectors, including charities and the voluntary sector.

The ISO 9001 certification is an internationally recognised standard for quality management procedures, which for very obvious reason leads itself very well to the manufacturing industry. It essentially streamlines and manages the quality control system your company has in place with the aim to increasing customer satisfaction for the manufactured product.

RECC Logo

Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC)

The RECC works to ensure the highest standards of protection for consumers of small-scale renewables. In this way, RECC aims to promote the resilience and reputation of the sector. The RECC is part of Renewable Energy Assurance Ltd. (REA).

The REA was established in 2001 as a not-for-profit trade association, to represent British renewable energy producers and promote the use of renewable energy in the UK. The REA endeavours to achieve the right regulatory framework for renewables to deliver an increasing contribution to the UK’s electricity, heat and transport needs. The Solar Trade Association is affiliated to the REA, and together the two have a combined membership of over 960 members, making the REA by far the largest renewable energy industry association in the UK.

MCS-Bmark-app-installer

The Micro Generation Certification Scheme

The Certification Mark for Onsite Sustainable Energy Technologies.
This online database is designed to be used by MCS certificated installation companies to register the MCS installations that they have carried out.

The MCS Database is used to generate an MCS Certificate for a customer’s installation; the certificate should be generated by the installer company within 10 working days of the installation being commissioned. This MCS Certificate can be used by the customer to obtain financial incentives such as FITs. The installation information is stored and used by Energy Suppliers to verify the eligibility of an installation.

MCS is a Scheme which is focussed on ensuring the quality of renewable technology installations and products. It was launched in 2008 and has been developed over the last four years. It is an industry led and funded scheme.

MCS currently has 10 different Technical Working Groups. The MCS Technical Working Groups develop the MCS Standards and Scheme documents which are based on international and European standards already in existence. As well as this, many members of the Technical Working Groups sit on European committees to develop the European Standards. This helps to harmonise MCS with existing EN Standards and ensure that the MCS Standards and Scheme documents are all kept up to date accordingly.
